Portfolio submission.

Your portfolio should consist of a minimum of ten mounted photographs each of at least 10" x 8" to a maximum of A2, which are entirely your own work.

The photographs will be assesed primarily on artistic merit and emotional impact, but the assessors will expect to see a high level of technical competence.

It is probable that typical camera club compertition images will not make the grade. Your work will need to show an element of flair and originality. Integrity and honesty in your work will be a significant factor.

To give you an idea of what assessors are looking for, most points will be awarded broadly in the following priority

1. Emotional Impact; does the picture grab your attention?

2. Originality; is the image a clone, or obviously over influenced by the work of others?

3. Production Value; how much effort was put into creating the image?

4. Technical merit; is the image technically competent, bearing in mind the degree of difficulty or control that the creator may have reasonably experienced.
